Inter-Agent Communication
Agents can talk to each other: the main agent can consult experts, and experts can DM teammates. Messages carry receipts — nothing disappears silently.
Consulting an Expert (in regular chat)
@ an expert in conversation, or just say “ask the legal expert about this clause”:
- The main agent composes the question (with context) and sends it to the expert
- Delivery confirms immediately — no waiting
- The expert’s reply arrives later as a “[Receipt]”; the main agent relays it with attribution
Consultation is asynchronous: after sending, the main agent keeps working and relays when the receipt arrives.
Expert DMs (inside an expert chat)
Inside an expert’s conversation, it can DM teammate experts directly:
- Also fire-and-forget; replies arrive later as receipts
- Suits handoffs between experts: “please verify this financial data”
Message Visibility
Inter-agent messages appear in the stream as source bubbles (who sent it, what role), which can be shown or hidden. Click a source strip to jump to that agent’s panel.
When to Use
- Cross-domain questions: let legal and finance each handle their part
- Large task decomposition: the main agent splits work across domain experts
- Authoritative opinions: @ the right expert; replies carry identity attribution
