Task Board

The Task Board is a central place to plan, dispatch, track, and review tasks in a workspace. You can manage tasks yourself or assign them to the default Agent or an Expert.

Open the board and select a workspace

  1. Select Task Board in the left sidebar.
  2. Select the workspace to manage at the top of the page.
  3. If none exists, choose New Workspace from the selector and enter a name.

This client uses cloud workspaces, so Import Local Folder is not shown. Upload computer files explicitly in a task conversation or comment when they are needed.

Three views

View Best for
Board Groups tasks by status and supports sorting and valid drag-and-drop transitions
List Shows task ID, title, priority, assignee, and due time in a compact layout
Gantt Shows task timing and relationships using creation and due dates

Use the toolbar to search by keyword or filter by priority and Agent. The summary shows total, in-progress, completed, and Agent-assigned task counts.

Six-column workflow

Column Meaning
Backlog Collected or still being planned
Todo Ready to begin
In Progress Being handled by you or an Agent
In Review Results are ready for review
Blocked Waiting for information, approval, or another dependency
Done Reviewed and completed

Dragging follows the manual transitions allowed by the current workflow. Automatic transitions are triggered by Agent results and cannot be forced by dragging.

Create and dispatch a task

  1. Select New Task in the upper-right corner.
  2. Enter a title and description, then choose an executor and priority.
  3. Expand Advanced Options when you need a due date, time estimate, or labels.
  4. Enable Dispatch to Agent immediately after creation if work should start at once.
  5. Select Create Task.

A dispatched task is linked to a real conversation. Open it from task details to inspect the complete run. When assigned to an Expert, the task continues in that Expert’s dedicated conversation so it can use the Expert’s existing context.

Task details and review

Select a task card to manage:

Enable Goal Mode and choose a maximum number of rounds when you want LanMate to iterate automatically toward the acceptance criteria. Each round is reviewed independently. If the result still fails when the limit is reached, the task becomes Blocked and waits for you.
