Cloud Workspace and File Security

Tasks in the QI-ANXIN edition of LanMate run in an isolated cloud workspace assigned by your organization. The desktop client handles authentication and connection. It does not give the cloud workspace direct access to your computer or local folders.

Workspace Isolation

After sign-in, LanMate connects to a workspace associated with your account and organization entitlement. Sessions, task files, skills, and connector settings in that workspace are isolated from other users.

The client does not show a local/cloud runtime switch and does not scan local directories in the background. The cloud workspace cannot directly:

To use a file from your computer, explicitly select and upload it from the task input box.

Upload Files from Your Computer

  1. Select the upload button in the task input box.
  2. Choose the files you want to process.
  3. Check the pending attachment list and send the files with your task instructions.
  4. Wait for the upload to finish before asking LanMate to read, analyze, or modify them.

You can select up to 10 files at a time, each no larger than 50MB. Selecting files uploads only the items you explicitly chose. It does not grant access to other files in the same folder.

Before uploading:

Process and Save Task Output

Uploaded files and generated output are kept in the current cloud workspace. You can preview output in the conversation or task panel. To keep a copy on your computer, open the file menu and select “Save As.”

Action Result
Upload a file Transfers the explicitly selected file to the current cloud workspace
Preview in the task panel Opens workspace output inside LanMate
Save As Downloads a copy to a location you choose on your computer
Delete task output Removes the output from the current task; confirm that you no longer need it

System areas and the runtime environment inside the cloud workspace are protected by the platform. LanMate can operate only within the task’s permitted scope. It must not bypass permissions, access another user’s data, or modify platform security settings.

Sign-In, Reconnection, and Sign-Out

On a shared computer, always select “Sign Out” when you finish. Do not only close the window. You must authenticate again after signing out.

FAQ

Can the cloud workspace see other files on my computer?

No. Only files you explicitly select during an upload enter the cloud workspace. Local folders are not shared automatically.

Why don’t I see “Select Local Folder” or “Open Containing Folder”?

Those actions require a local runtime and are not available in the cloud workspace. Upload source files and use “Save As” for generated output.

Does a failed connection fall back to a local workspace?

No. The QI-ANXIN edition stays on the sign-in or connection page. Select “Retry Connection” or “Sign In Again.”

Does signing out delete files already downloaded to my computer?

No. Copies downloaded with “Save As” remain under your control. Signing out only ends the current sign-in and cloud connection.
