Experts
Experts are AI coworkers with predefined responsibilities, methods, and capabilities. Examples include contract legal review, meeting support, data analysis, and official-document writing.
Open the Experts page
- Select Experts in the left sidebar.
- Browse or search the Expert Fleet.
- Select an Expert card to open that Expert’s dedicated conversation.
Experts that are working or need your input show a status in the list and on the left navigation entry. The Expert Conversations tab collects active one-to-one conversations and Expert Rooms.
Continue a conversation with an Expert
Each Expert keeps a separate conversation history. When you open the Expert again, you can continue with the previous context, which is useful for recurring work in the same specialty.
Expert conversations use the same message area and right workspace as regular conversations. You can upload files, inspect outputs, and follow up. The Expert’s work mode comes from its configuration and is not changed by the regular-conversation mode switcher.
Create and edit an Expert
Select New Expert in the upper-right corner of the Experts page to configure:
- Name, title, and responsibility description.
- Persona and standing instructions, such as tone, analysis method, and output rules.
- Available capability areas such as coding, office documents, and design canvas.
- A specific model or the global default model.
- Which connected external services the Expert may use.
- A preset icon or custom avatar.
You can adjust a built-in Expert’s working method and restore its initial settings. Experts you create can be edited or deleted; check that you no longer need one before deleting it.
Expert Rooms
Use New Room when a topic needs several perspectives:
- Enter a room name.
- Select 2–6 Experts.
- Open the room and send a topic or attachment.
- The Experts speak in sequence. You can keep typing during a discussion; new messages wait in the queue.
Select an Expert name above the message box to insert an @ mention when you want that member to focus on a question. Room history remains available from Expert Conversations.
Expert routines
Open an Expert and select Routines in the header to:
- Create a one-time or recurring Expert task.
- See its next run time and current status.
- Select Run Now without waiting for its schedule.
- Delete a routine you no longer need.
Routines are scheduled in the cloud workspace, so your computer does not need to stay on. A run still depends on the required model, organization services, and connected external services being available at that time.
Use Experts with the Task Board
When a Task Board item is assigned to an Expert, that Expert performs it in their dedicated conversation and reports progress and results back to the board. This preserves the Expert’s ongoing context while keeping human review in the Task Board.
