Remotely Control Your Computer
You’re out at a meeting, on a business trip, or at home, and suddenly need a file that’s on your computer. In the past, you could only reply “I’ll look for it when I get back.” Now, by sending a message to LanMate via Lansenger, it can find files for you, read their contents, and even organize them before sending them back to you.

How It Works
Once LanMate is connected to Lansenger, you send a message to your personal bot in Lansenger, and the message syncs to the LanMate client. LanMate executes the task locally on your computer — reading files in authorized directories, invoking skills to process data, generating files — then passes the results back to Lansenger.
Unlike traditional remote desktop: you don’t need to operate a mouse. You use natural language to describe what you want done, and LanMate executes it locally.

Tips
- Keep the client running: Remote control depends on the LanMate client on your computer being in a running state. If the computer is shut down or asleep, messages queue up and only execute when LanMate resumes after the computer is turned back on.
- Authorize commonly used directories in advance: Add your commonly used working folders to the whitelist under “Settings → Local Authorization” so LanMate can access them remotely.
- Channel conversations are read-only: Lansenger channel conversations only support viewing messages — the LanMate client doesn’t support sending messages in channel conversations. To talk to the AI assistant, send messages through your personal bot in Lansenger.
- Safety first: In remote scenarios, for high-risk operations such as deleting files or sending sensitive information, LanMate pauses locally and waits for confirmation — it does not execute automatically.
